Located in Umbria, glorious Assisi is a beautiful medieval town built on Mount Subasio and filled with history, spiritual treasures, medieval art, and architectural masterpieces – a magical place where the Middle Ages seem to come alive! It is also the birthplace of St. Francis, who founded the Franciscan religious order in 1208.
We spent an amazing day exploring Assisi in September 2022, strolling the picturesque and historic streets, exploring the narrow alleyways, visiting magnificent castles, churches, and basilicas, and enjoying an aperitivo at sunset with spectacular views over the Spoleto Valley.
Our September 2023 guests will have some free time to explore other Tuscan and Umbrian towns. We highly recommend visiting this Magical City!
