Today I share with you a different kind of recipe. A natural, homemade hair and face mask that is good enough to eat, with each ingredient offering different benefits!
Avocado is an exotic fruit with many health benefits. It is ideal for dry, brittle, and damaged hair, leaving you with super nourished and shiny hair.
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil is naturally high in healthy fatty acids with incredible health benefits. It’s rich in Vitamin E, a fat-soluble anti-oxidant, giving your hair and skin a healthy glow. It’s perfect for stressed hair. It is the cornerstone of the Mediterranean diet and an essential in the pantry. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, it’s not just for the table and the kitchen!”
Yogurt is high in protein, which is important for hair strengthening. It is ideal for very dry hair and also fights dandruff. Yogurt aids in hair growth and moisturizes your hair leaving it with a silky softness and shine. For your face, it adds moisture and brightens your skin.
Probiotic powder. Not only is it good for your gut, but research shows that it’s also great for your skin and hair! Studies have shown that by adding probiotics to skin care products it can improve skin moisture by reducing hydration loss and it preserves the integrity between scalp, skin, and its ability to protect itself.
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is an antioxidant that is necessary for the growth, development, and repair of all body tissues. Vitamin C straightens hair and also repairs damaged hair follicles. It also soothes your skin, and has
been shown to reduce puffiness, dark spots and fine lines, leaving your skin smoother and brighter.
